Standford's Gitanjali (Song Offerings) is a setting of four songs from Rabindranath Tagore's own translations of his Bengali verses for medium voice and seven instruments.

1 Thou hast made me endless such is thy pleasure...

2 I am here to sing thee songs, in this hall of thine...

3 The day is no more. The shadow is upon the earth...

4 Let all the strains of joy mingle with my last song! the joy that makes the earth flow over in the riotous excell of the grass...
